Pacquiao vs Mayweather super bout is off

Admit it, the only reason we'd like to see this fight because we want to see Manny Pacquiao demolished and KTFO the uber arrogant Floyd Mayweather Jr. We all know that this fight is going to be boring to the highest level. Regardless of Pacquiao's supreme boxing skills, Mayweather Jrs. defensive boxing style can send us all to a deep sleep. Finally, Pacquiao vs Mayweather Jr. is off - for the mean time. Mega Manny will fight the tough and bigger guy once again, no other than Joshua Clottey of Bronx, New York. The first boxing match to be held at the famous Dallas Cowboys Arena in Arlington, Texas.

Why the fight is off? Manny Pacquiao have agreed already to take a blood test for drugs 24 days before the bout, scheduled for the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, on 13 March. Pacquiao agreed to unlimited urine testing, to undergo blood draw 24 days before the fight and right after the fight. Mayweather Jr. insisted he wanted an olympic random blood testing which sometime takes 10 - 15 times blood draws. How dumb is that? They only have 2 months to train and this guy Floyd wants to have blood drawn 10 - 15 times?

After the failed mediation, team mayweather stated that they aren't the one to blame because they even agreed to a blood draw 14 days before the fight. Huh! Oh Really! I wonder what's the difference between blood drawn taken on the 24th, 14th, or after the fight. Forget it, Floyd is just a coward!

"I am very disappointed," Pacquiao said, "that we could not make this fight for the fans." Probably not as disappointed as the estimated three million customers willing to pay more than $50 each in the United States to watch the fight on HBO, as well as an estimated million-plus in the UK.

Bob Arum, Pacquiao's promoter, was incandescent. "Mayweather never wanted it," he said. "Manny wanted the fight. He was agreeable to terms. The fight's off. Mayweather is a coward. The fight's off not because of us, not even because of Golden Boy. It's because of him personally.

"Mayweather's never stepped into the ring with a guy unless he knew he could beat him. That's why there's never been a fight with Shane Mosley, there's never been a Antonio Margarito fight, there never was a Miguel Cotto."

Pacquiao is set to fight Joshua Clottey on March 13, 2010 at Dallas Cowboys Stadium.

Mayweather is reduced to taking a potentially dull alternative fixture against the smaller, weaker but indisputably eager standby Paulie Malignaggi on the scheduled date at the MGM Grand, Las Vegas.

"Pacquiao just left a $40m fight on the table because of a random drug test," Malignaggi, who can hardly believe his luck, told Boxingscene.com. "Do you know how stupid that sounds?"

Don't get mad at Malignaggi, he just needs special attention. His slapping skills won't even help him to at least reach the 4th round with Pacquiao.

Other possible opponents for Manny Pacquiao are:

Yuri Foreman
Timothy Bradley
Juan Manuel Marquez
Antonio Margarito

Possible opponents for Floyd Mayweather Jr:

Matthew Hatton
Paulie Malignaggi
Nate Campbell
Paul Williams (Very impossible - I'll take off my hats for Floyd if he would accept a fight with Paul)
